Meet the Drapers is a reality show where people get to invest into startups, especially startups from emerging markets and developing economies. The Laudato Si Challenge supports proven and scalable solutions to the global challenges set forth by Pope Francis in his encyclical letter called Laudato si. Our founder, Tasnim Rahman, worked with organizations to source over 200 startups and companies that are looking for funding from the Sub-Saharan African region. These startups and companies were all impact focused, meeting Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), with a focus on fintech, healthcare and agriculture. The top 7 startups were featured in Vatican City with the Laudato si Foundation and Data Charter Group in order to choose the winner amongst judges, including Tim Draper, to win $1 million and to be featured on Meet the Drapers. Tasnim was a judge to pick the top 7 through the selection process. The top 7 startups included: Daba Finance, Rwazi, Avion, Boost, BuuPass, FlexClub and Lynkwise.
